ZENITH PELVIC DROP PISTON & Latch Bolt Kit
This ZENITH PELVIC DROP PISTON & Latch Bolt Kit contains 1 Drop Piston & 2 Bolts to repair broken bolts in a New or Old Style Zenith Pelvic drop. The OLD STYLE Zenith Table Pelvic Drop Piston is made for any zenith table with a roll finger style drop (see Picture). The NEW STYLE Zenith Table Pelvic Drop Piston is made for any zenith table with a SOLID roll finger style drop (see Picture).
This install kit is a Medium install job and basic mechanical knowledge is needed. It is about a 20 minute job total to install.
There are 2 Styles of Pistons New Style & Old Style. The mounting holes are different
Old pistons have bottom bolt on side of piston. New pistons have the bolt in center and is bolt & washer

The replacement Zenith Piston install can sometimes be a Bit tough on older drops.
The Brass interior where the piston Drop slams UP and down all day takes a beating! So this can cause the Brass around the drop housing to swell making it uneven and hard to get the new piston in and out.
When I rebuild the drops here , I have a Cylinder HONE I use on those Older to make the new piston fit properly and slide smooth again.
Other parts to Inspect
Saves your hand if Table drops unexpectedly when your turning the knob. It allows the tension handle to flex down not mashing your hand. The older knobs were a FIXED piece of steel
Also Check the Bolts in the Drop Cocking Handle and the Cocking Latch ( see pic links below) .

Some of the old table had roll pins in the handles that break and the Cocking latch breaks often also. Zenith MFG did NOT use hardened bolts to secure the handles like they do now. If your table has regular screws Update them to the hardened Bolts Before they break.

This piece will save you some headache if you get patients over 250 lbs. This is a reinforcement plate it keeps the factory plate from bending with heavy patients.

Longer shaft and Soft grip Knob. Makes it easier to reach and easier to lock is all steel knob. The older shafts were brass and slip often.

If you find your Pelvic Drop needs to much work, You can always trade it on a NEW drop with all the updates. IT has 8 bolts to remove and reinstall the entire new drop it take about 10 Minutes total
